Invigorate® is BP’s exclusive proprietary detergent additive found in all three grades of BP gasoline with Invigorate®–Regular, Silver (midgrade), and Amoco Ultimate® (premium).

Fuel additives are good! In fact, the US government requires a minimum amount of deposit-control additive to be present in all US fuels – but all grades of BP gasoline with Invigorate® go beyond these minimum standards in an effort to provide additional benefits to drivers who use our fuel.

An improved version of BP gasoline with Invigorate® was introduced in April 2016, and we’re proud to say this version is our best fuel ever–with versatility for both conventional port fuel injector engine technology, and emerging direct injection engine technology. It has 10 times better protection against intake valve deposits than ordinary, minimum-detergency fuels. Keeping intake valves clean is important because dirty deposits from ordinary fuels that form in engines can lead to a variety of problems–hesitation, rough starts, loss in fuel economy, and increased emissions to name a few.

BP gasoline with Invigorate® not only helps prevent deposits from forming in the first place, but can even help clean deposits left by minimum detergency fuels –giving drivers more miles with every tank¹.

Additionally, BP gasoline with Invigorate® protects against sludge which can build up over time in your engine’s motor oil system, preventing oil flow to critical engine parts and can result in catastrophic engine failure².

BP gasoline with Invigorate® was developed with rigorous and extensive testing by fuel engineers, covering over 60 different industry approved test methods and thousands of hours in vehicles and engines. We tested our best ever fuel in conventional (port fuel injector) and emerging (direct injection) engine technology; in fleets of cars and trucks with engines big and small; and in engine test stands incorporating ASTM, industry standard and new, cutting edge test procedures.

Amoco Ultimate® with Invigorate® is BP’s premium fuel.

Amoco Ultimate with Invigorate® is not a typical premium fuel whose only difference is octane number. Even cars whose manufacturer recommends regular fuel may see a benefit from using Amoco Ultimate with Invigorate®. This is because it contains our highest level of Invigorate® additive–meaning it can help clean a dirty engine even faster than BP Regular or BP Silver. Filling up with Amoco Ultimate with Invigorate® can also provide 20 times better protection against deposit formation when compared to ordinary fuel, helping to give engines the best protection that BP can offer.*

Many vehicles recommend or require premium fuel because their engines were designed to benefit from higher octane. For these vehicles, Amoco Ultimate® with Invigorate® delivers more power and quicker acceleration compared to regular grade gasoline. The difference can often be quite noticeable. Eight of the world's top automakers, BMW, General Motors, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, Honda, Toyota, Volkswagen, Mercedes-Benz and Audi recognized that the current EPA minimum detergent requirements do not go far enough to ensure optimal engine performance, so they created TOP TIER™ which raised the bar to an additive level that is better suited for vehicle performance.

BP is a registered TOP TIER™ retailer and Amoco Ultimate with Invigorate® goes one step further by surpassing Top Tier treat rate levels.

By federal and state regulation, nearly all gasoline sold by retailers in the US has up to 10% ethanol blended into it to comply with the US Renewable Fuel Standards as part of the Energy Independence and Security Act. A small amount of BP stations may sell ethanol-free gasoline (which is labelled accordingly), but this is typically used in off-road vehicles like ATVs or boats.

Flex Fuel (also known as E85) is a gasoline-ethanol blend containing anywhere from 51 to 83% ethanol, and can only be used in Flexible Fuel Vehicles (FFVs). At the dispenser flex fuel is clearly labelled “E85” and includes signage that cautions drivers to use this fuel only if they have a FFV vehicle. Check your owner’s manual to confirm whether you have a FFV vehicle that can run on Flex Fuel.

BP Diesel® is a quality fuel for light duty diesel trucks and cars. It can also be used in all on- or off-road heavy duty trucks, as well as automotive, transit bus, marine, and stationary diesel engine applications that require ultra low sulfur diesel (ULSD).

BP Diesel® is routinely tested for compliance with ASTM D975, including sulfur content and lubricity requirements. Like all our fuels, BP Diesel® is backed by our BP Fuel Guarantee.

BP Diesel® may contain up to 5% biomass component. This is standard for most diesel fuel sold in the US and does not require any special labelling.

Please refer to your owner’s manual to learn whether your vehicle requires diesel.

Biodiesel blends are standard diesel fuels blended with a biomass component derived from plant oil and animal fats. Just as the government requires ethanol to be blended into gasoline, they also require or promote the blending of renewable biomass components into diesel fuels.

When biomass components are blended at levels between 5 and 20%, the FTC requires that all dispensers be clearly labelled with the following:

Many diesel vehicles can run properly on biodiesel blends. However, there are a number of manufacturers whose vehicles do not recommend blends greater than 5%. Please consult your owner’s manual to learn if biodiesel blends greater than 5% are compatible with your vehicle.

The BP Fuel Guarantee is more than just a statement. In the unlikely event that you experience fuel system trouble due to the use of BP gasoline with Invigorate® (Regular, Silver, or Amoco Ultimate®) or BP Diesel®, we’ll reimburse you for the repairs. Simply call us at 1-800-333-3991 to report the problem. You’ll also need to provide proof of purchase and a mechanic’s repair bill. We’ll review your claim, and any BP fuel-related repairs will be reimbursed to you.

General Driver Rewards Questions

No. There is no membership fee and the BP Driver Rewards card is not a credit card.

The Driver Rewards program is valid at participating locations which can be found here by filtering based on the Driver Rewards filter option.  Driver Rewards is not valid in California. You will not be able to earn or redeem Rewards at non-participating BP stations or non-BP gas stations.

Once you’ve registered you can request a Driver Rewards loyalty card under the Earning Preferences tab of your account profile

To use your phone number at the pump, at most stations, follow these instructions:

  1. Press “Cancel” key
  2. Enter your phone number
  3. Press “Enter” key
  4. Follow prompts on screen.

Exact procedures vary from station to station. Look for more detailed instructions at the pump or talk to the site staff to help you with this process.

You will need to log-in to your account and click on the Account Info tab to update your mobile phone number.

Your user name is the email address you provided when registering for BP Driver Rewards. Your password can be automatically emailed to you by clicking on Forgot Password.

You can find your BP Driver Rewards balances by logging into your account.

You will earn Rewards at the rate of $0.01 (1 cent) off per gallon for each $10.00 in BP fuel purchases you make using your Driver Rewards account at participating locations in the United States. This equates to $0.10 (10 cents) cents off per gallon for each $100 spent on the BP fuel purchases at participating locations. Rewards earned will be available within 24 hours after you register. Cents off per gallon rewards can then be redeemed at the pump within 24 hours of being earned at the participating locations found here. To redeem cents off per gallon rewards at the pump, swipe your linked payment card, enter your mobile phone number* or swipe your BP Driver Rewards card, at the beginning of the transaction. The prompt then asks if you would like to redeem your rewards. If you choose yes, the price automatically rolls back to the amount of cents per gallon rewards available. The maximum rewards allowable for each purchase is automatically used up to 20 gallons for each transaction. However, the price will never roll back to less than $.109 per gallon. If you choose ‘No’, rewards will accumulate on the account until they are redeemed or expire 365 days from the end of the month in which they were earned.

Unfortunately, no. Since you already are a BP Visa or BP Credit Card holder, you are earning your BP Driver Rewards cents off per gallon rewards by using your credit card at the pump.

Balance inquiries can be initiated by the cashier at the register. Once initiated, swipe your linked payment card, enter your 10-digit mobile number associated with the account, or swipe your BP Driver Rewards card on the PIN pad. The earned rewards amount will be printed on a receipt.

Log-in to your account and enter your code into the claim a discount code section.  This can be found under the Rewards Status tab.  Any promo or discount code may be combined with BP Driver Rewards cents off per gallon rewards.

No, this program is limited to participating BP and Amoco stations in the U.S.

Questions specific to payment card linking

Most Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express credit and debit cards are all qualified to link with BP Driver Rewards. The BP Visa is not eligible to be used in conjunction with this program.

Driver Rewards payment linking allows consumers to eliminate the need to swipe a loyalty card or enter a mobile phone number to earn or use rewards at the pump. With payment linking consumers can earn and use cents per gallon rewards AND pay for their fuel with a single swipe.

New members need to join the program and link their payment card during the registration process. Existing members need to log-in to their account and link up to five of their favorite payment cards under the Earning Preference tab.

Yes, consumers can link up to five payment cards to their Driver Rewards account.

Yes, to remove a linked payment card log in to your Driver Rewards account, go to the Earning Preferences tab and remove your payment card(s), note if you remove all payment cards you will need to use your mobile phone number at pump to earn and use rewards. 

Log onto your Driver Rewards account to remove your lost card and link a new payment card.

If you choose to do so, you may link up to five eligible major credit cards to your Driver Rewards Account for added convenience at the pump. To link a card(s), visit, log in, and go to the Earning Preference tab to be presented with a secure, hosted website to complete the linking process. Please allow 48 hours for linking activation to take place.

Questions specific to your Driver Rewards card

No. You may pick up a BP Driver Rewards card at a participating station and swipe it at the pump to start earning towards a 10¢ off per gallon reward after spending $100 on BP fuel. Rewards will expire 365 days after the end of the month in which they are earned. However, in order to redeem any rewards you earn, your BP Driver Rewards card must be registered.

Your 19-digit account number can be found on the back of your BP Driver Rewards card below the magnetic strip.

If your BP Driver Rewards card is unavailable, you can enter your phone number at the beginning of a transaction at participating BP sites, excluding stations in New Jersey. If you have not yet registered your phone number or if you have visited a participating location, you can call 1-877-852-3025 to get credit for your purchase. When calling, please be prepared to provide the information found on your receipt: Transaction ID; Transaction Date; Total Spend; Total Gallons; Price per Gallon; and the address or Site ID of the BP station where you purchased fuel.

Questions specific to United MileagePlus® award miles

Yes. Driver Rewards consumers can select their rewards type to earn and use in either CPG or miles.

Existing Driver Rewards consumers can login to their account at and change their reward type on the Reward Status tab. If a Driver Rewards member has an existing cents per gallon (CPG) balance, this balance will be converted into award miles as a one-time courtesy, and the CPG balance will be set to zero.


No. Consumers that elect to earn and use miles as their rewards type cannot earn or redeem Driver Rewards CPG at the pump.

Miles are governed by the rules of the MileagePlus program. In general, miles expire in eighteen months if a consumer has no activity on his or her MileagePlus account. Please see for more specific detail.

Yes. You will earn miles per gallon on every fuel purchase that earns MileagePlus miles.

You can go to the My Purchases tab on your MileagePlus account to view all miles earned or used to date.

Yes, you may switch back to cents per gallon at any time. The miles you earned have already posted to your MileagePlus account, where they will remain. Any pre-existing CPG balance prior to conversion back to CPG is not eligible to redeem upon switching back. Your CPG balance will start at zero.

All mileage redemption offers are non-refundable and cannot be canceled.

Yes. You must link a credit or debit card to your account to use miles at BP gas stations.

BP has 2 credit cards: BP Credit Card and BP Visa® Credit Card. Both allow you to earn cents per gallon rewards that can be redeemed instantly at the pump!

You can redeem your rewards in 2 ways: Redeem at the pump to see instant savings at participating BP stations or you can choose to redeem your rewards as a statement credit*.

* The total amount of your earned Rewards will be multiplied by 15 and the product will be applied as a credit to your Card Account. A minimum Rewards balance of $0.07 (seven cents) is required to redeem a statement credit.

You can redeem your earned cents per gallon as a statement credit for the value of a 15 gallon fill-up. For example: If you earned 50¢ off per gallon, you can choose a statement credit of $7.50.

Pick ‘n Save, Copps or Metro Market consumers are able to swipe their Fresh Perks card or enter their phone number at the pump, using their Loyalty ID to enable use of their grocery rewards points for discounts on BP fuel. Consumers who spend $100 inside a Pick ‘n Save, Copps, or Metro Market store will receive a 10-cent reward to be used for BP fuel at participating BP sites. Consumers are able to accumulate their fuel rewards and redeem up to $1 off per gallon, on up to 35 gallons per fill up. A consumer who has not earned a grocery reward may swipe their card or enter their phone number to receive a flat discount of 3 cents off per gallon on their purchase.

Pick ‘n Save will keep track of total money spent on groceries and issue a 10-cent reward upon reaching a $100 threshold. Consumers who have not reached this threshold will not receive their 10-cent reward.

We still want to reward you even though you have not reached your $100 threshold. Consumers who have no reward from Pick ‘n Save will automatically receive 3 cents off per gallon for swiping their Fresh Perks card or entering their phone number.

You may call the number listed on the back of your Fresh Perks card if you have questions about what you’ve earned. You may also visit your local Pick ‘n Save grocery store.

Yes. You may save your reward and continue to earn via Pick ‘n Save and redeem up to $1 per gallon.

Fuel points earned in the current month will expire at the end of the next month. Fuel points do not combine across months. Each month is a separate accumulation period. Fuel points earned in separate months cannot be combined in the same transaction.

No. This program is separate from Driver Rewards. You must be a part of a Pick ‘n Save loyalty program to participate.

To access your Driver Rewards account, you must swipe your Driver Rewards card or linked credit card. If you need a Driver Rewards card, please call 1-877-852-3025.

Yes. If you are a member of both Driver Rewards and Fresh Perks, your Fresh Perks account can be accessed via your phone number or a Fresh Perks card.

This program is valid starting on November 2, 2017 at most BP stations that process loyalty in Wisconsin. See our site locator and filter by ‘Fresh Perks Card Fuel Points’.

With the “My Account” feature on, you can see how many fuel points you’ve accumulated, how many you’ve redeemed, how you earned them, when they expire and more. You can also see your previous month’s fuel points. Or, track your fuel points with the Pick ‘n Save Mobile App.

At the local Pick ‘n Save store or on the Pick ‘n Save website.

Fuel points apply to a maximum of 35 gallons on one purchase of fuel at a BP gas station.

General BPme questions

First, BPme uses your location to securely check you in to a site. You then need to pick your pump number. We will then complete a pre-authorization with your bank, and unlock your pump so that you can start fuelling! Once you've finished fuelling, return the nozzle to the pump.  Once back in your vehicle, you may view your receipt directly in the app.  That's all, you are good to go!

BPme will work on iPhones (iOS) and Android phones. Visit the Apple App Store and Google Play Store to view minimum software requirements for BPme.

BPme is available at participating BP and Amoco locations.  When you arrive at a station and open BPme you will receive a message if BPme is unavailable. To locate the BP nearest to you that offers BPme - simply go to Station Finder and filter on 'BPme Accepted'.

The price will be the same as if you were to pay in the normal way.  Our fuel prices are displayed on the entrance to site and at all of our pumps too.

The app needs at least 3G signal to work, or be connected to WiFi. If you don't have a strong enough signal at a site, please fill up and pay at the pump or in store.

Yes, you can log into BPme from another smartphone. For your security reasons, you will need to re-add your payment card(s).  We advise that you make sure you log out at the completion of your transaction.

To locate the BP or Amoco stations nearest to you that offers BPme - simply go to Station Finder and filter on 'BPme Accepted'. You will then only see the sites where you can use BPme.

A transaction can be cancelled through the app all the way up to the point that you lift the pump handle. As a safety measure, the app will automatically cancel the transaction if you haven't lifted the pump handle within one minute.

Your transaction history is saved in BPme and can be viewed in the My Receipts section. To view them, go to My Receipts from the main menu. 

For safety, please keep your phone in the vehicle when you're filling up.  Never leave the pump unattended.

If we have given you the all clear to start fuelling, then you can carry on as normal and your receipt will be available when you next open the app or within your receipt history. If you hadn't received the message to begin fuelling - your transaction will have been cancelled and your card will not have been charged (although it may have been pre-authorized so a pending transaction may appear on your bank account.   The pending transaction may take up to 7 days to clear, depending on your bank.

Once you've finished fuelling - you're good to go! You will see a transaction summary appear on your phone once you return to your car.

Your pump will be authorized for use for one minute, from the time the app says you can start fuelling to the time you lift the nozzle. If you don't lift the nozzle within 60 seconds of the initial authorization, the transaction will be automatically cancelled, no money will be taken and you will get a notification within the app.

To create an account, download the BPme app and follow the steps to register. If you are an existing BP Driver Rewards member and have a login, just use your username and password to sign in to the BPme app.

In certain instances, individual pumps may not be available for use within BPme. Where possible, please move to a different pump and try again.

When in the app, use Find a BP station to select your preferred station. You can then tap 'Get Directions' to get directions in either Google Maps or Apple Maps.

Selecting your grade of fuel will work the same as it does today, you will make the grade selection on the dispenser before removing the nozzle.

If you are having issues with the BPme app recognizing your location, verify you have location services enabled in your phone's settings.  If the issue continues, please contact us at 1-877-852-0325 and a representative will assist you.

Questions specific to security & settings

If your phone is lost or stolen, call your phone operator to have it stopped or wiped. For security, we do not keep your personal information or card details directly on your phone. The app allows for an optional passcode, we encourage customers to set this when creating their BPme account. If the passcode is enabled, BPme is protected by your passcode, so nobody else should be able to use your phone to pay for fuel. Finally, as a last resort, you can always email us if you would like your BPme account stopped.

To ensure that we securely check you in to the correct site, we need to confirm your location using your phone's GPS signal. We will only use your location when BPme is running.

Questions specific to wallet & payment

Yes. Tap My Wallet from the main menu.  The payment card that appears on the top of the card stack in the wallet will be your default payment card.  If you wish to change your default payment card, tap and flip the card to the side and the card below will appear.  The text "default payment card" will appear.

If a payment card added to BPme is cancelled, your bank will decline the BPme transactions. If you want to continue using BPme, you will need to add your new payment card or switch to another payment method in your BPme wallet.

In My Wallet, tapping the information icon on the lower left corner of the payment card will bring up the card information screen.  In here you can edit and remove the card.  If you need to change the credit card number, you will need to remove the card and add it as a new credit card.

Yes.  When purchasing fuel, you will have the option to purchase a car wash at stations that have a car wash.  If you wish to only purchase a car wash without purchasing fuel, you will need to go inside to purchase the wash or through the car wash kiosk if available.

Sorry you will not be able to use your BP Fleet Card in BPme at this time. 

Unfortunately no, you are only able to pay for fuel and car washes using the app. If you wish to purchase any other products, you will need to pay for these in-store.

Before authorizing the pump, BPme will check with your bank to verify the payment information.  The verification check may appear on your bank account as a pending purchase.  Don't worry, you will only be charged for the total amount of fuel purchased. The pending transaction may take up to 7 days to clear, depending on your bank.

BPme accepts BP credit cards and all major credit and debit cards that can be used without a PIN including Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, and Discover.

To remove a payment card from your BPme wallet, go to My Wallet.  On the card you'd like to remove, tap the green information "I" icon.  Tap remove in the top right corner.

Confirm all values are correct and try again. If you have confirmed all the information is correct, you may want to try calling your card issuer to ensure there is not an issue with your account.  Typically the customer care phone number is on the back of the credit card.  To contact the BP app support team, please contact us at 1-877-852-0325.  Additional support information can be found in your BP app under "Help" > "Contact Us".

Questions specific to Driver Rewards in BPme

Yes, your rewards balance will display on the My Driver Rewards screen.

Absolutely! We will automatically associate your BP Driver Rewards account to fuel purchases through BPme.  No need to swipe your BP Driver Rewards card at the pump, or enter in any additional Loyalty IDs.  Earning rewards has never been easier.

If you wish to redeem your rewards balance during a fuel purchase, you will continue to make that selection at the pump.  With BPme, you will open the app and select your pump.  Confirm your payment card and pump are correct and tap begin fuelling.  Exit the vehicle, leaving your phone in the vehicle.  At the pump select the button that corresponds to the redeem rewards option.

If you've previously linked a credit card, it will not automatically appear in the BPme wallet.  You will need to tap "Add Card" in the app and follow the instructions to add a payment card.

If you are an existing member and have an account on, you can use the same username and password to log in to BPme.  If you have a physical BP Driver Reward card but do not have a account you will be able to create an account via the BPme app and link that existing card.  There is no additional cost to use the BPme app.
